University of Cape Verde

The University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV) is the largest university in Cape Verde with 45% of the country’s total number of higher education students enrolled. It is amongst the 100 best African universities and ranks the 5th best university in the African Portuguese speaking countries. Uni-CV offers several accredited study programs at different levels: 4 Doctoral, 14 Masters’ and 43 Bachelor programmes. There are 3963 students enrolled (academic year 2023/2024) in graduate and postgraduate programs distributed in 5 faculties and schools. Uni-CV collaborates with over 200 international partners from 26 countries and is inserted in 24 international networks (such as AULP, REALP and AUF) and has been involved in several international research consortia within funding schemes e.g. Interreg-MAC 2014-2021. Uni-CV participates in student and staff mobility programmes such as Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility and is a partner in Erasmus Mundus joint postgraduate courses. Uni-CV hosts several research centres, chairs and research groups which help to sustain and consolidate its higher education offer, training, and research.
