The University of São Tomé and Príncipe (USTP), established in 2014, is a public higher education institution comprising three faculties and a research and extension center. These units include the Higher Institute of Education and Communication (ISEC), the Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT), the Victor Sá Machado Higher Institute of Health Sciences (ISCSSM), and the Centre for Development Studies (CED).
The USTP team is interdisciplinary, featuring professionals with expertise in Social Sustainability, History, Ethnography, Anthropology, Tourism, Public and Business Administration, Political and Social Sciences, Agronomy, and Rural Development.
As São Tomé and Príncipe has fewer than five higher education institutions, USTP is the sole representative from the country in this collaboration.
